Zina Affas, Ph.D., MRPharm.S., is a Director Business Development at Evolva Holding SA (a Swiss listed biotech) since March 2010. Her eleven years in the healthcare industry to date span business development, investment, fundraising both for biopharmaceutical and medical technology companies and Venture Capital funds as well as healthcare recruiting and product litigation. Before joining Evolva, Zina worked with biotechnology companies to raise funds. In addition and since March 2008, Zina was a Partner at Orion Healthcare Equity Partners. Before co-founding Orion, Zina was a Principal at Atlas Venture where she was involved in sourcing, leading and/or managing investments in Europe, North America and Asia. Zina was also involved in fund-raising, developing relationships with pharmaceutical companies, and building senior management teams. Previously, Zina worked in executive search in the healthcare field with Euromedica as well as in product liability litigation with Shook, Hardy & Bacon. Zina received her Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry as well as her First Class BPharm (Hons) in Pharmacy from the University of Nottingham in the UK.
