Marian brings to BNC more than 15 years of experience in biosensors, nanotechnology, and medical device platforms for life science, drug discovery and diagnostics sectors.
Marian is a chemist and holds a doctorate in biochemistry.
Prior joining BNC, Marian worked as R&D Manager for US/UK based company DxTech Ltd. He led efforts on biosensor and the fluidic chip research and development. DxTech was launching the point-of-care electrochemical diagnostic platform for monitoring multiple clinically relevant analytes in blood.
Assessment of new technologies, new product development and IP landscaping were major focus when he worked as a consultant for Erasmus Technology.
While at Unipath he was assessing suitability of various detection platforms for the over-the-counter diagnostic tool for viral/bacterial disease screening.
Before that he was accountable for manufacturing and development Akubio’s activities related to biosensor fluidic assemblies and other consumables. Akubio was University of Cambridge spin-off company developing piezo-electric label-free detection system for monitoring protein, peptide and small molecules interactions.
