Dr Paul Warburton is an international authority on nanoscale electronic devices, including Josephson junctions, superconducing nanowires and compound semiconductor nanocrystals. He is also the director of the Electron- and Ion-Beam Facility (EIBF) at LCN Bloomsbury. EIBF has a suite of state-of-the-art nanofabrication and characterisation facilities including two focussed-ion-beam microscopes, four field-emission electron microscopes and electron-beam lithography. Specialisations within EIBF include TEM lamella sample preparation, “slice and view” for buried defect analysis, three-dimensional nanofabrication and circuit edit applications.
